Amber Fun in June
June has been a very busy and fun month in Scoil Naomh Treasa.
On the 4th of June we welcomed two visitors from Pieta House who checked out all the work we had done and presented us with our Amber Flag. We were absolutely delighted and so proud to be involved in earning Scoil Naomh Treasa’s first Flag. Nicola and Eoin from Pieta House were really interested in our Amber Board and we spent lots of time talking to them about all we have done and how we intend to coninue to promte positive mental health in our school. The 4th of June was just the beginning of our rewards for a year’s hard work. Part of promoting positive menatl health means acknowledging hard work and effort and rewarding yourself for it. We took that very seriously during June.
On Tuesday 11th we had our official Flag raising and fun day. We started our day with garden games, bouncy twister and music blaring from our outsde sound system. After break we spent time doing Zumba dancing with Lisa and really enjoyed her Minion dances in particular. Obviously after all the fun and dancing we were all starving for the pizza, sausages and chips which arrived for lunch. When our parents came in to join us we couldn’t wait to challenge them at outdoor Jenga and show them our balance on bouncy twister. After a busy day we all gathered to watch as the 6th class raised our well earned Amber Flag. A proud day for us all!
