After such a busy December we needed a calm and relaxed January and that’s just what we had. We started the year as we mean to go on by looking carefully at the world around us and how we can care for it a little better than we may have been. Our Green school committee let us know that we were developing bad habits with litter in the school yard. They started to report the findings of their litter picking to us each day and this helped us realise that we needed to change our behaviours. After getting our litter levels back down to almost 0 most days we took part in a very interesting experiment at the end of January. Our friend Freddie the fish helped us to see the terrible effects of pollution on our water. As you can see above, Freddie’s water does not look like a nice place to live.
